My queer body

My queer body

about.

My Queer body is a project about identity, emotions, and the relationship with the body of the photographed people. I was working on it together with a journalist Magda Jakubiak. The topic of sensitivity towards the body came from our need to surround ourselves with content that releases women and non-binary people from gender constructs and their representation in the photography. we wanted to show queer people who identify themselves as female or non-binary - in their full, unfettered nature and sensitivity. At the same time, one's identity was very important to us. That is why simultaneously with photo sessions, we talked with our models about their relationship with their bodies. Most of the photos presented were taken in the models' private apartments. The photos were taken using analog camera. Together with Replika Foundation photos were printed in the 2022 calendar - all income from the sale of the calendar went to Replika Foundation, which publishes "Replika" magazine - the only LGBTQIA+ magazine in Poland.
